Juice for: Strength
Today I begin something new that I'm super excited about! I've been saying I wanted to try giving up alcohol for 30 days to see how I feel. I've read and heard really great results that come from it like:
- less blotchy skin
- ability to sleep better and wake easier
- weight loss (obviously)
- better mood
- longer attention span and better focus
- less cramps and pms
I've never consciously given up drinking (including wine) so I can't wait to document the process and see how much better I feel. I'm also going to be doing a serious detox, after being in Mexico and not being able to fit a pair of shorts I love, I realize I gotta do something, QUICK! lol I have put on a few lbs lately, mainly in my core aka stomach, legs and bootay. I love some of the weight but the tummy is no bueno so here we go!
I don't really have a problem eating healthy foods, but love to snack here and there too and now that I'm getting a little older, I realize I have to really pay attention to what I eat. I plan to do a separate post outlining the things I'm going to be improving on, so stay tuned for that!
Juicing is of course going to be included in on my daily goals and we will be continuing with the #juiceoftheweek! This week, we are juicing to get back to our roots. This includes my favorite root veggie beets along with some other core necessities.
BACK TO ROOTS JUICE
- 1 beet
- 1 apple
- 1/2 a lemon
- 1 inch size piece of ginger
- 1 inch size piece of turmeric
This amazing juice is taking us back to the core basics with 3 important root veggies: beets, ginger and turmeric. The addition of lemon helps to rid us of all the toxins and release any acid in our tummies. The apple is also great for digestion to start with a clean and fresh palate!
