Sweet and Spicy Cauliflower

As I've been working at trying to get better with building an overall healthy lifestyle, this includes my snacking! Making healthy meals - check. Drinking less - check. Cutting carbs and sugars - check. Snacking healthy... hmmm.

Healthy snacking is important because it's easy to rack up tons of empty calories on chips (even kettle cooked), candy, granola bars and some of those other processed snacks that we munch on on-the-go. I've been paying more attention to the back of the wrappers of things and noticing that many of the products that are advertised as "healthy", are truly not as healthy as they say they are.

Fruits and veggies are my go-to because there's no guess work with them. As a kid I HATED cauliflower. To this day, I'm still not quite sure why, but as a kid any veggie was yuck! Lately, I've been on a cauliflower kick, roasted, mashed, raw, etc. Anyway, I whipped up this quick and super (SUPER) easy recipe in about 20 minutes that may just be my new favorite snack. After all, I did eat it twice today lol


Cauliflower has tons of health benefits including being high in vitamin C, K and full of protein. It also assists in digestion, detoxification and is a natural anti-inflammatory!

I chopped up 1/2 a head tossed it into a zip lock bag, added the sauce, shake, shake, shake and bake! These silicone baking mats are perfect for a non-stick option to lay on your baking sheets. I live by them and use them probably every time I cook!

Sweet and Spicy Cauliflower


  • 1 head Cauliflower, chopped into florets

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 2 tablespoons sriracha

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or silicon baking mats.

  2. Mix honey, sriracha, olive oil and soy sauce together in a small bowl.

  3. Pour sauce over cauliflower in a ziplock bag and shake until sauce has covered all of the cauliflower.

  4. Pour out evenly over baking sheet, giving each piece of cauliflower some room so that it doesn't steam.

  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  6. Bake for about 20 minutes, until soft.
