A Rosé Engagement Party

Who says you have to wait until the bridal shower or bachelorette party to celebrate an engagement? One of my close friends and sorority sisters from college recently got engaged and an opportunity should never be missed to shower friends with love... and rosé! I feel like often times when women get engaged, they have to wait until their bridal shower and bachelorette party to celebrate with just their girlfriends. In this case, we decided to celebrate Bianca, the soon-to-be bride, on her special moment and wish her well on wedding planning through a fabulous Rosé themed party!

Often times, Rosé is associated with summer, but I don't think there's ever a bad time for it! When I think of Rosé, I think of everything pretty, pink and prissy! We threw a touch of gold in there for good measure! After the theme was decided, I sent out a super cute and girly Invitation using Paperless Post, which is my absolute favorite e-vite website. We decided it would be a brunch, since the daytime turn-up seems to be way more fun and I mean who doesn't love brunch?

As the host, I provided the food and asked each guest to bring a nice bottle of Rosé (or 2!). There also had to be a signature cocktail for the day which I called "Bianca's Bridal Bliss" and was a mixture of muddled raspberries, Vodka, Sparkling Pink Lemonade and Champagne poured over Pink Cotton Candy! It was the perfect girly and bubbly drink for the celebration!

The menu consisted of a hearty fall salad with squash, cranberries and feta, smoked salmon cucumber sliders, tomato and spinach egg frittatas and a fun waffle bar! One of my favorite go-to things for hosting is to do a food "bar" of any kind. Taco, baked potato, nacho, mimosa, yogurt, ice cream, sausage... the list is ENDLESS! They are fun, easy, budget friendly and accommodate everyone, since guests are creating their own combinations, they can avoid what they may not like or be allergic to! Check out the bagel bar I did here!

My best friend LaVonda is a party genius and always goes above and beyond on the little details to make every event magical. She handled all of the desserts, which really brought the engagement portion to life! She made these delicious chocolate covered oreos and got her go-to baking lady to do these ring cake pops which were a huge hit! I MEAN, HOW CUTE ARE THESE?! Check out more of her creations here!

We wanted everything to stay within the theme of rosé and engagement. So I ordered cute decorations from Amazon like the tassel banner, LOVE balloons and hanging rings and she found some decorations at local party stores. Of course all of the bundles of flowers came from Trader Joe's and I just arranged them around my home to complete the ambiance.

LaVonda also took care of the plating and picked up some adorable napkins and beautiful rose gold silver for the event from Target. Because the 2 of us together are extra AF and never tell each other "no", I created floral infused ice buckets which were so fun and easy to make and really added to the decor for the day! I mean is there ever too much when planning an event? Get the tutorial on how to make your own here!

Overall, the celebration was a huge success! We ate, laughed, we danced and cheered to Bianca. She felt super showered with love and appreciation from everyone and I think this will truly set the tone for her seamless wedding planning and bridal bliss!
